| Abstrakt: | The article presents the role of references to the history and culture of the Parthians in Teodor Parnicki's novel "The Word and the Flesh". Chozroes, one of the two narrators and the central character of the novel, is a half-breed (half-Greek and half-Parth). The Parthian tactics in the famous battle of Carrhae is the reference point for his writing strategy as the author of the letters to Markia. For his way of thinking about the temporal relations between events, Zurwan's cult (Parth-Iranian god of time) was important. |
