Abstract

John Paul the IInd has always pointed at the key role of woman as the wife and mother in the family. He appreciated genius of woman and her particular sensitivity to the other person. He called for the new feminism in order to combine her roles in the family and at work harmoniously. He wanted to raise the status of female profession for the family, enabling her to participate in the social life. Moreover, he highlighted the equal dignity and the complementary character of both woman and man, which is expressed in the possibility of their co-operation for the mutual community of interests.
