Analiza i typologia socjopedagogicznych badań nad młodzieżą robotniczą prowadzonych w okresie powojennym w województwie katowickim

Abstract

The paper aims at analyzing the general state of the studies — both sociological and pedagogical — concerning the working class youth. The material presented attempts to reply to the question: to what extent the youth was a subject of scholars’ concern, what questions were raised by the researchers in the Katowice district in the post-war time, what was novel in this research work. The volume of the elaboration does not permit to analyze all interesting issues, therefore some works treating either of the historical or psychological aspect were admitted. Only some selected positions were shown — those the most typical and the most valuable, that may raise the interest of the pedagogues. The present paper deals merely with the problems of the youth mature physically and mentally, so-called, in accordance with the economists and demographs definition, junior group of the productive age. As the delimitation line the age of seventeen and thirty years was accepted. The authors were concerned with those researches that involved the population below thirty years of age. The findings may be used to elaborate a monography of the Katowice district working class youth.
