In the scientific literature, mental health is often defined in terms
of individual well-being. It is emphasized that in order to achieve it, it is necessary
to possess certain resources that constitute a kind of health potential.
The richer the resources, the better an individual overcomes current challenges
and copes with difficult experiences. This article presents the results
of research aimed at determining the perception and assessment of resources
possessed by individuals using psychological assistance. A qualitative strategy
has been used in the research and the collective case study method has
been applied. On the basis of the research conducted, conclusions referring
to mental health promotion have been formulated, with the emphasis on the
educational aspects of potential promoting actions.
