Profilaktyka kar cielesnych w świetle doświadczeń i dobrych praktyk

Abstract

Elimination of violence against children is becoming an important task in democratic societies. Moreover, due to the extent of the problem and its consequences it has been placed in the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Developmental Goals. Despite the fundamental action, which is the reform of the law and the introduction of the full protection of children from all forms of violence, among them corporal punishment, many different initiatives on eliminating violence against children in childrearing are undertaken all around the world. Experiences of many countries have shown, that law reforms are not enough. Within many proposals of actions, the prevention is seen as the most promising type of activities. It is organized as based on the knowledge about the determinants of violence and research in this area on a one hand, and on the analysis of practice and international co-operation and sharing in this field, on the other hand. In the paper the initiative of the CBSS the special project where some basic assumptions and detailed indications on the prevention of violence in childrearing have been overworked just in international collaboration, is presented.
