Abstract

The family situation, when disabled child appears, always is difficult and requires the support of both the parents and their disabled child. The aim of this study was to describe and to analyze individual networks of support of families with disabled children using The Social Environment Questionnaire by Z. Bizoń. The study includes several aspects. The first one concerned the quality and quantity of the categories of persons who shape a network of support. The second one is the characterization of activites in order to maintain the network. The whole closes conclusions showing the strengths and weaknesses of social support that researched families benefit and proposed areas of further researches.
