Abstract: This paper presents an overview of the literature regarding autism and role of language in the process of therapy with the autistic children and adults. The overview of the literature shows the importance of two factors: the use of syntactic structures and understanding of Theory of Mind tasks. The role of the language in the process of therapy of autistic children and adults is discussed.
