Abstract

The article discusses the principles of the functioning of libraries for Polish displaced persons in West Germany. The basis of the analyses conducted constituted organizational documents of Polish libraries right after the end of the World War II in the area under investigation. The steps of the librarian’s work taken before the book collection was made available to a reader were described in detail.
