| Abstrakt: | In the paper an analysis of how different determinants influence innovation and organizational performance is presented. The results of path analysis (structural equation modeling) show that research and development (R&D) financial resources, specialization and different leadership styles have a significant impact on product and administrative innovation. Those impacts are reflected in two measures of a firm’s performance – objective financial reports and executive ratings of perceived effectiveness. Using the sample of 219 Polish firms form Silesia Region (with at least 20 full-time employees), this study contributes to the emerging literature on innovation by providing an integrated conceptual model. |
