Abstract

The author presents the experiences of the Cieszyn centre in educating pedagogues to act in and through the culture, and to motivate people to be socio-culturally active. It is Cieszyn where the substantial programme discussions concerning this educational field of study were inspired. Cieszyn pedagogy of a cultural-educational work worked out its own specificity of an artistic and regional profile. The centre in Cieszyn has educated over 2500 animators since the beginning of the existence of the field of study called „socio-cultural animation” in intramural and extra mural studies.
