Romantyczne konteksty ludowej śpiewki "Kamień na kamieniu...", czyli o pożytkach płynących z lektury cudzych listów

Abstract

The people have been enchanted with the ability of putting stones on stones since time immemorial. We have admired megalithic buildings, pyramids (in various parts of the world) and try to penetrate symbolic and mystic meanings of pylons, stupas and shaman’s mounds. Kamień na kamieniu, a literature masterpiece by Wiesław Myśliwski, was created a quarter of a century ago in author’s a deep conviction about a folk provenance referred to in the title of the song. A historian of the literature of Polish Romanticism, however, comes across an intelligent source, that is, Stefan Zan, a brother of Adam Mickiewicz’s friend Tomasz when reading a correspondence of Salomea Bécu primo voto Słowacka, a mother of one of the most outstanding representatives of the epoch. Folk and intelligent inspirations permeated each other perhaps most strongly and freely in Romanticism.
