Abstrakt: | The article addresses the issue of students who are working while studying. In the reality of market
economy and flexible labour market, students are becoming more and more widely needed workforce.
Professional work, in addition to studies, is becoming more popular among students. It is important to
understand the motives behind this decision. The aim of this article is to answer the research questions:
Do students from V4 countries work during their studies? What kind of work is it? What are the motives
for working while studying? Is there diversity between students from different V4 countries in this area?
The article aims to present a typology of motivations for work of V4 students at the end of this article.
The analysis has been carried out on the basis of empirical research, with the use of auditorium survey,
within the framework of the Visegrad Standard Grant: “The economic awareness of the young generation of Visegrad countries” no. 21420008 (2015–2016) and our own additional research. The research was
conducted in higher education institutions in the four V4 countries – in Poland in Katowice, in Slovakia
in Nitra, in the Czech Republic in Olomouc and Ostrava, as well as in Hungary in Gödöllő. |
