Abstrakt: The main objective of the dissertation is to present conceptualization of a widely understood postmemory in a intergenerational discourse, involving witnesses to history passing down the contents of the writers and illustrators, adult intermediary reading, as well as contemporary children's audience. Although more than the 70 years have passed since the end of the World War II, the next generations of creators are undertaking the war and Extermination subject matter. Noticeable trend of literary return to the events dated 1939-1945 on the publishing market, doesn't elude literary directly addressed to children and youth. Book is becoming a tool of an intergenerational discourse, bringing closer three, and even four generations. Research material includes fictional literature, published after 2006 on the polish market, by contemporary polish writers. Dissertation consist of a six chapters, concentrated around respective publishing series, forms and themes. First chapter is devoted to the initiative by Wasaw Uprising Museum, being the first manifestation of the emerging trend of postmemory in a contemporary literature for the young recipient. In the second chapter a series Wojny dorosłych – historie dzieci has been extracted, in which a model of talking about war and literature for children has been established. Among the extensive subject matter four groups has been separated: occupation and Warsaw Uprising, the faith of the Jewish child, the situation of the former Eastern borderlands, and biographies of outstanding figures. A large group of creators has been discussed, writers, and illustrators and their role in a postmemory discourse. Publications that hasn't been part of the series or being a part of a different cycles are shown in a third chapter. Publications has been divided in three thematic groups: outstanding figures, the faith of children and Warsaw Uprising. A multitude of titles and topics is reflecting observed from the decades the fashion for literature about the patriotism and history. Fourth chapter has been devoted to comic books. There has been shown the institutionalization of the comic book market as well as subordinating the narrative towards the educational and upbringing goals. The fifth chapter extracts books dedicated to the bear Wojtek from the Anders Army. The last part of the dissertation is focused around Anne Frank testimony which has been a model of a contemporary narrations for the young recipient. There has been presented a biographical outline of the outbuilding residents, theme and the publishing faith of The Diary of a Young Girl. The comic book edition of a Journal was also discussed as an example of a reaching the next generations with the testimony about Extermination. Crowning touch to the thesis is a synthesis resulting from the analysis of a contemporary war narratives present on the Polish publishing market. It includes perceived patterns and motives, as well as different ways of presenting this topic. The intergenerational discourse of witnesses, authors, reading intermediaries, and young readers was also presented.
