Wokół "literatury środka" : o literackich kompromisach na przykładzie prozy Edwarda Radzińskiego

Abstract

The article presents the attempt to analyze the phenomenon of Edward Radziński`s oeuvre. Radziński’s prose presents the “historical fiction” or “alternative‑historical prose” stream together with Victor Suvorov`s works. These literary works have pretensions to being scientific, however they are not as very often their authors are non‑professional “commercial historians”. The product from the sign of “historical fiction” is headed towards mass readers. It gives the promise of fascinating story that is why it is full of tricks and themes peculiar to popular literature. More than to reader’s intellect these books appeal to the emotions, what is a compromise between elitist and mass literature.
