In recent years an increase in interest in text issues has been observed. Text is considered
as a means of conveying content of education, a unit of educational dialog and foster-child changing
factor. In the article the ways to define the text and areas of pedagogical research in which the text has
a crucial role are presented. It is assumed that education as a communicative action – in all variants
described by J. Habermas – is realized through texts. Such a perspective creates new possibilities of
research and interpretation of the subject of pedagogy.
