Cieszyn jako miejsce aktywności osób w wieku późnej dorosłości

Abstract

Cieszyn is a place of multilateral activity of persons at the age of late adulthood. The abundant cultural and educational offer is aimed at this age group, has an influence on assuring seniors of conditions for learning, entertainment, development of passions and interests. In the article I am bringing only selected institutions operating in this area which associate persons at the age of late adulthood. A vital role for Cieszyn seniors in organizing their free time and executing the educational function plays the Cieszyn University of the Third Age. In various workshops and sections the Cieszyn Cultural Centre also associates a large number of elderly persons who are looking for alternative forms of spending their free time. Activity of the Jubilee Choir of the Cieszyn Song and Dance Ensamble deserves attention as they support younger successors. In the text I am also referring to workshops organized by the Association for Family Support SILOE IN NOBIS.
