| Abstrakt: | The article reminds us of the basic assumptions of Korczak’s perception of children, their rights and relationships between children and adults. The attention was paid to thoughts formulated by Korczak on children’s rights to respect and to be what they really are. On the basis of direct references to Korczak’s words, the hypotheses are put forward concerning the topicality of his opinions, and an ever-lasting divergence between a picture of children’s rights and a social reality in this case. The author encourages us to reflect on Korczak’s descriptions of children’s world, and greater respect for children as well as their subjectivity. She asks inspiring questions on the present-day situation of children. |
