| Abstract: | In a short outline the author discusses connections between Polish avant garde literature and a popular literature in years 1918–1989. They are visible among others in sensational and melodramatic plot as well as in catastrophic, satanic or anti-Semitic motives of interwar prose; after the second world war they may be find in Tadeusz Różewicz’s writing, the poetry after 1956 and in so called linguistic prose. |
