Abstract: The two fundamental meanings of the word „norm „refer to a valuable pat tern or mediocrity. A pat tern determined by a norm is universal in the field of applying the norm. A norm may be just, which would mean that it is substantiated with a right evaluation, or that it is formulated on grounds of a true criterion of evaluation. Is an evaluation a ground for a norm then, or are evaluations formulated on grounds of norms? Duty applying to every person characterizes moral norms. These norm s do not regulate all of morally evaluated acts, because there are many values which, cannot be a ground for norms. What values may be a ground to formulate norms on? Morally good actions refer to rules which are not universal moral norms. Should normality in axiological sphere refer to mediocrity or to the area regulated by norms? Can a moral norm determine a particular action? The study of relation between values, evaluations and moral norms, carried out in the context of the dissertations by E. Husserl, N. Hartmann, R. Ingarden and M. Ossowska, allow to answer the questions posed or at least point out the direction of investigation.
