| Abstrakt: | The paper offers a close reading of a set of poems by Grażyna Zambrzycka that make up the volume Bóg miodu. Notatnik jukatański, published in 2011. Szałasta-Rogowska follows the poet/guide as she discovers the nature and culture of the Yucatan peninsula — the cradle of the Maya civilization. In a poetic and subjective way Zambrzycka recounts her experiences of a journey into the heart of the natural environment, history and culture of the Mayas, occasionally interweaving the exotic reality of Yucatan with elements of the European world. |
