| Abstrakt: | Stanisław Dygat travelled a lot, and willingly shared his experiences with the readers of his newspaper columns and articles. In his prose writings the motif of the journey has also a special significance. Ewa Bartos’ paper examines and interprets the way in which Dygat describes his trip to America. The journey is presented on two levels: as an actual life experience and as an imagined journey. The writer narrates without really narrating, limiting his narrative to the bare minimum; he leads the reader astray, taking him on a journey full of delusions. |
