| Abstrakt: | The article is devoted to a historio-linguistic analysis of eight selected intensity determiners expressively marked having a meaning close to bardzo, namely strasznie, straszliwie, potwornie, przeraźliwie, okropnie, koszmarnie, makabrycznie, and masakrycznie. The author established the time of the appearance of particular intensifiers in Polish. Basing on observations of contexts proving the usage of intensifiers in question in historical and modern Polish, the author showed the scope of their combinability proving a partial or whole lexicalization of particular determinants. |
