Abstrakt: | The main part of this paper was devoted to the works of art by Józef Świder. The author
divided his religious vocalic and instrumental works and differentiatied four groups of compositions,
on the basis of the criterion of the text contents, choice of texts and performing figures.
The division constituted works with the Latin liturgic text, works with the Latin
non-liturgic text, works in Polish with the non-liturgic text, and works in foreign languages
(in German) with the non-liturgic text. The conclusions deriving from the classification conducted
concern the information on the most frequently-used genres of the religious works,
and their inspirations most frequently-used by Świder.
The text consists of many useful quotations characterising religious works of this composer.
Moreover, the article presents a short analysis of Te Deum, a vocalic-instrumental work
selected from a wide scope of religious works by Świder. On the basis of the very work, the
author of the article explained the theme of the sound material, and verbal-musical relations.
Analytical conclusions proved that Świder preserved both connections to the traditional
form of a religious music and his own composing experiences within the scope of harmonic
figures. |
