| Abstract: | In the article the author describes the text and illustrations of seven books (poetry and prose) for young readers by Polish authors, published in the 60s. All the books were illustrated by Józef Wilkoń — a brilliant artist and a representative of Polish School of Illustration. The article starts with the discussion on the most important principles of illustrating books for children and teenagers, and finishes with pointing out to the most significant characteristics of Wilkoń’s art of illustration. |
