Czas jako zmienna w badaniach psychologicznych : metodologiczne pułapki psychologicznych badań nad czasem

Abstract

The article raises the issues of methodological aspects of such psychological studies which involve the category of time in various entanglements. The text is divided into three main parts. The first part reminds us some of the most important notions and methodological arrangements concerning the course of academic cognition. Particularly, the attention is paid to academic laws and research hypotheses, variables and the nature of the reserach process. The second part is devoted to some deformations of the academic cognition in psychology, that is an unlegitimate identification of statistically important predictors with causes, the usage of the so called non-specific aggregated variables, as well as “hermeneutisation” of the academic cognition. The third part of the article concentrates on a methodological peculiarity of time as the subject of psychological studies and certain negative consequences of this oddity — giving time a status analogical to a non-specified aggregated variable or, on the contrary, hermeneutisation of the psychology of time.
