dc.description.abstract | Everyone knows the feeling when a stubborn melody doesn’t want to leave our mind. What’s
more, we can “infect” other people with this “melodic virus”. Replication and evolution of melodic
motives, rhythms and harmony is a deeply rooted part of European musical heritage. This is also
an integral element of a composition technique. A phenomenon of “melodic replication” occurs in
very complicated, intellectual works of famous composers and as a simple repetition of unchanged
melodic motives in popular and folk songs. | pl_PL |
