| Abstrakt: | The article was devoted to the issue of the content and composition suitability of selected works in relation to their headings. A military metaphor is to be found in all the titles of the works in question. The analysis taking into account other than today’s competence of the 18th century language user shows that seemingly similar texts representing the trend of the sanctimonious writing turn out to be very different in terms of the exploitation of potential meanings of key words included in their titles. |
