Język młodzieży w prasie (na materiale polskich i rosyjskich czasopism młodzieżowych)

Abstract

The article asks a question on the ways of the functioning of the youth language (called “youth slang”), the functions performed by the very language, and its role in Polish and Russian youth magazines. The author proves that the youth language possesses the features of “a restricted code” (poverty of linguistic means, high emotionality, helplessness in expressing emotions and experiences, vulgarisms, etc.).
