Abstract

The book contains articles and sketches devoted to the classics of the youth literature, early returns to it as well as new readings and interpretations. The second thread of considerations concerns new literary phenomena and contemporary authors, as well as valuable editing phenomena. The whole book closes with two articles on the role of the childhood years in our whole life. An already third volume of Secret gardens combines with the previous ones (published in 1996 and 2009) by means of the motif of a garden shown in almost each of the sketches and articles as a space being constantly associated with “the land of childhood”. The book is addressed to literature researchers, students of bibliological, pedagogical and cultural studies, as well as librarians and teachers.
