Abstract

The conversation in advertising is a kind of myth, which is meant to satisfy certain dreams and desires. Rafał Olbmski’s pictures present ‘communicative impotence’ of the modem world, while the mobile phone no longer satisfies the need for information and prestige, but simply the need for contact, exchanging views, mutual understanding. At the end of the article we find the open question: Is the mobile phone communication a remedy for the lack of understanding, the crisis of conversation or is it another communication illusion, a copy without the original?
