dc.description.abstract | The author tries to answer the following questions: Should the presence of certain elements
of conversation structure be treated as a manifestation of the influence of spoken colloquial
language on the literary style? If so, does it confirm the thesis of the ‘open’ character of this style
(Wilkoń)? Are the conversations found in Milosz’s poetry the literary picture of the authentic
language? The linguist’s task then would be to study the degree of the identification of the poetic
conversation with the form of natural conversation.
Using the dialogue or personarum dramatis in a poem allows one to present different points
of view and opinions, representing different values, which is very important for the poet’s creative
attitude.
The modifications of conversation in Milosz’s poetry illustrate his formula of ‘fuller’ poetry.
The language of the poetry is the evidence of the stylistic play between the colloquial and the
sublime, between being faithful to the genre poetic and tending to disobey it. | pl_PL |
