Słownictwo w opisie języka naturalnego : uwagi o systemowych i pozasystemowych aspektach badań nad słownictwem

Abstract

The object of this article is both to give a review and to synthesise. The principle aim is to demonstrate the evolution of opinilns on the role of vocabulary (and more widely — the whole of the semantic factor) in the adequate description of a grammatical system, and also the influence of various theoretical conceptions (the main schools and directions of thought in contemporary linguistics) on the way of conceiving the vocabulary of the natural language. The structuralist discussions, today already of classical stature, are recalled (in the framework of generative syntax and semantics) and also the interest in vocabulary in the context of pragmatic conceptions (pragma- socio- and ethnolinguistics), and again the influence of these trends on lexicographical practice and the multilateral studies on the vocabulary of the contemporary Polish language.
