Abstract

„Liberature” is counted among modern literary forms among such phenomena as hypertext, liternet, text or hypertext collage and various visual texts. While the term and notion of liberature was proclaimed by Zenon Fajfer as recently as in 1999 it is however an ahistorical genre and it encompasses works created before the liberary idea was formed. This article aims to expose and illuminate verbal and visual material, which together compose a “total work”. It draws attention to the features of this phenomenon, the characteristics of liberary works and the role of the recipient in creating the meaning of its works.
