Kobieta w internetowych memach obrazkowych na wybranych przykładach

Abstract

The aim of this study was to show the woman from the point of view of the creators of Internet memes-pictures. The main findings, theoretical in the area of memes and women’s studies – this is the starting point for further reflection. The analysis of the experience included over 1000 memes available on the website Demotywatory.pl, which portrayed the women in many contexts and from different perspectives. Not only a visual, but also verbal layer was taken into account, because the comments are important component of the memes. The passed dissertations revolved around stereotypes, sexism and the social role of the woman. The subjects in which the meme’s creators are „writing down” figure of the woman were also shown.
