Z doświadczeń cieszyńskiej pedagogiki - wątek społeczno-kulturalny

Abstract

The centre in Cieszyn integrates social, pedagogical and cultural actions which up till now constitute an important element of a social life. With time, pedagogy of cultural-educational work in Cieszyn has worked out its own specificity. It was possible thanks to its close relations with other fields of education in the branch of the University of Silesia — musical and artistic education. Every-day contacts between students and the staff, as well as frequent concerts, exhibitions and cultural events in the life of an academic community created a natural situation of the interdisciplinary character. Also, the external cultural conditions influenced a crystallizing nature of education. The binding history, rich output, outstanding researchers who started and shaped pedagogy in Cieszyn for many years (not to mention the late professor Antoni Gładysz or Edmund Rosner), allow for hoping that Cieszyn will still participate in looking for the means of educating and stimulating people to cultural and social activity in a creative way.
