| Abstract: | The article presents a tradition of strives Cieszyn society made in order to create an independent teacher education centre at the beginning of the 20th century to the modern times. Also, the profiles of many outstanding activists of Cieszyn Silesia were reminded, thanks to which the dreams about the pedagogical university became true. The article also presents the history of the field of studies: artistic education (teacher specialty) the author of the text graduated from. |
