Abstract

Along with the post-industrial society there were problems that show that a key aspect, which should pay attention are the defense of human life and decent living conditions for each unit. In American society an important role in the fight for the lives of unborn children played Fr. Richard Neuhaus - an activist of Pro-Life Movement organization, for many years priest of African Americans in Brooklyn, New York, publicist, commentator of public life. In his pastoral work he emphasized essence and timeliness of making public discussion about abortion. Define what is the role of the Catholic Church in the public debate around the issue of abortion. Argued that belonging to the Catholic Church should imply social choices and determine political action.
