"Dzieci znikąd" : bezdomność oswojona, czyli pedagogika nadziei Heleny Boguszewskiej

Abstract

The author presents the writing of Helena Boguszewska from the point of view of pedagogy, treating it as a kind of para-documentary. The analysis employs the methods based on the achievements of social sciences. The article presents three separate cases — the vicissitudes o f three children from an orphanage in Warsaw. The analysis follows the changes in the children’s lives, their maturation to the socially accepted independence. This study is particularly concerned with the reasons behind the homelessness of children, the functioning of educational institutions, which are also within Boguszewska’s sphere of interest.
