Abstract: | The article entitled “Freedom and Responsibility as a Criterion of Subjectivity” revolves
around values significant for education: subjectivity, freedom and responsibility. Each of them
is characterized in the article. For instance, subjectivity of a pupil is, simultaneously, a goal and
a way leading to an educational goal. Through the lens of subjectivity one ought to look at subsequent
values significant for education: freedom and responsibility. Psychological freedom is a factor conditioning the occurrence of moral responsibility. Responsibility, on the other hand, may be
analyzed in three aspects as a physical, psychological and moral responsibility. A condition
for an
informed, subjective action is the ability to manage and to make decisions about oneself. |
