Abstract

Who is the Other activities script is a part of Children meeting the Other project, which is accomplished by students from the Scientific Circle of Intercultural Education, acting at the Faculty of Ethnology and Educational Science of Silesian University. Spotkania z Innym. Czytanki do edukacji międzykulturowej (Meeting with the Others. Readings for multicultural education)—a book by Przemysław Paweł Grzybowski was an inspiration for the creation of the script. The project is dedicated to children from 6 to 10 years of age. The time of activities varies from 45 to 60 minutes. The main goal of the script is to sensitize children to other people, and convince them that each of us has their value inside themselves, discovered during the meeting with the other person. The script contains: forms of discussion(s), aimed conversations, reading a fragment of a story, a gap-fill test, and drawing the Other, based on a heard text.
