Abstract: X-ray and neutron diffraction measurements are presented for a numer of carbon samples prepared by different techniques. The information obtained from diffraction studies is presented in relation to other types of investigation, particularly in relation to electron microscopy. The characteristics of the graphene sheets are discussed in relation to these features.
