Abstrakt: | This publication aims to present psychosocial risk factors in the workplace, i.e. environmental factors that may cause mental, social, or physical damage to the employee. The article shows an overview of what they are, and shows legal implications and impact of these threats to employees and organisation. Universities and their organisational units, such as academic libraries, are also an area, where the occurrence of various types of conflicts in the workplace, such as mobbing or discrimination is observed. The article presents a few characteristic features attributed to mobbing in academic libraries. It also provides an analysis of the survey results associated with mobbing. It concludes that publicity and exposure in cases of mobbing activities, as well as better education, knowledge and understanding of this problem occurring in the workplace might eliminate this kind of the behaviour. |
