The empirical material presented in the study relates to the issues of the crises experienced by the youth, which are understood in the context of the theory of E.H. Erikson as moments of turning points in important areas of social functioning of a human being. Such moments make their presence in the relationships with relatives as well as the relations with the emotionally closest environment, fields where one's important developmental needs are realized, moments of evaluation of one's own life - both in the context of everyday activity as well as plans for the future. The author indicates the areas and sources of crises in the lives of young people in the stage of adolescence, and signals the necessity to provide support from mature and resourceful environment. In addition, by referring to the results of the conducted research, the author brings us closer to understanding the expectations the examined young people have of the sources and forms of the help offered to them in the hard moments of their lives.
