Calls for intensive and distinct activities for child protection are clearly visible in the
last decade in many international initiatives. They appeal mainly to a specific canon
that can be read from various instruments and documents, where child’s right to be
protected from violence is clarified and explained and they show praxeological interpretation
of directions and forms of activities that are demanded and that are worked
out on the basis of scientific background and the reflection on praxis and its effectiveness.
The paper is an attempt of holistic presentation of the basic elements of
understanding the right of the child to be free from all forms of violence and its social
application in the global and regional perspective.
