dc.description.abstract | This is an attempt at examining the worlds of Jacek Dukaj’s novels and short stories, and probing
the remarkable suggestiveness of his fi ction. The analysis reveals that Dukaj’s science fi ction
incorporates realist conventions and his conservative bias is not always unobjectionable. The article
claims that uchronia, ie. a hypothetical and not implausible utopian/dystopian world, is the most
appropriate description of Dukaj’s sci-fi fantasy and alternative history. | pl_PL |
