Abstract

The aim of studies was focused on phytosociological differentiation of the Middle-European wet oak forests of the Quercetea robori-petraeae class in the Silesian Upland and adjacent areas. The analysis of floristic composition, quantitative relationships and habitat conditions of the studied patches let find out consistently that they represent the Molinio caeruleae-Quercetum roboris association (Tüxen 1937) Scamoni et Passarge 1959 em. Brzeg et al. 1989. This association was not reported from the Silesian Upland and other areas of the Southern Poland. Until now it was reported only from the Wielkopolska region.
