| Abstrakt: | Periphyllus van der Hoeven, 1863 (Hemiptera: Aphididae: Chaitophorinae) is a Holarctic genus, with just three species native to Nearctic: Periphyllus americanus (Baker, 1917), P. brevispinosus Gillette & Palmer, 1930, and P. negundinis (Thomas, 1878). Males and oviparous females of P. brevispinosus and P. negundinis and males of P. americanus are described. Original keys to the identification of the known native and non-native sexual morphs of this genus, associated with maples in the Nearctic Region, are given. |
