dc.description.abstract | The author examines the process and characteristics of Christianization that was led by bishops and monks at the courts of the barbarian kings and princes. For this purpose, he analyzes selected fragments of memoirs and history of such authors as Avit of Vienne, Jonas of Bobbio, Gregory of Tours, Eugippius, Orosius. Generally, the pastor of the royal court was a prophet, faithful to God, a brave defender of the Catholic Church, able to resist pagan customs, heresy and errors and temptations of political conformism. | pl_PL |
