| Abstrakt: | The author’s main objective in writing the article was to consider the answer to the question what is the sense of ethical codes. To find the answer, author correlates dominant perceptions of ideal-type codes with their real and particular examples. In his research project, author concentrated on the most commonly encountered kinds of ethical codes: codes of ethics for companies and codes of ethics for town councilors. The response to the title query is rather pessimistic. The structure, contents and form of both considered types of ethical codes do not assure effective reaction against ethical deficits in mentioned fields. |
