Stan badań atlasowych w Polsce i Rosji nad demonologią ludową (przykład zmory i innych istot mitologicznych posiadających cechy z nią wspólne)

Abstract

Ethnographic and ethnolinguistic atlases are one of the sources which give the opportunity to reveal the origins and transformations of traditional culture depending of its spatial diversity. Atlas studies of folk culture have been conducted for many years in various European countries, often independently of each other. The main goal of the article is to present the state of the atlas research in Poland and Russia devoted to folk demonology, in particular zmora and other mythological creatures that have common motifs with it. This topic was not discussed in greater detail in the context of the possibility of a comparative research using the method of mapping selected demonological motifs in both countries. Therefore, we are making the first attempt to present the peculiarities and the results of the previous atlas research on the above-mentioned research issue, conducted in the Polish Ethnographic Atlas and the Ethnolinguistic Atlas of the Polesie Region.
